Best Lanai at Kamaole Sands
The unit was recently refurbished and immaculate. Very comfortable furniture especially the living area modified murphy queen bed. The kitchen is lovely but could use a few more baking items (sheets, oven pans) and plastic cups for poolside use. Beach gear provided was most appreciated (chairs, umbrella, 2 sizes of coolers, boogie boards and collapsible wagon to carry it all in which is great for a family with little kids. The lanai was the reason we booked this unit. it is HUGE! it also has a very comfortable sectional that my son chose to sleep on a few nights! Good view of the ocean although not quite the sunset. It is also the closest unit to the beach so a quick walk across for day use or to catch the sunset. Overall a perfect stay.

From the desert to Maui for a long overdue vacation
Now that we’re retired and living between Palm Springs and Seattle it can feel like we’re on vacation every day. However stocking and entertaining frequently and maintaining two homes is not really a vacation. So after what may be nearly a decade, we decided on a real vacation. Our home away from home in Maui was perfect! A wonderfully maintained beachside community welcomed us complete with a very large and comfortably furnished lanai that overlooks the beautifully landscaped grounds, ponds and fountain with just the right peekaboo view of the ocean next door. This unit was recently remodeled and is a vacation renter’s dream home. The open living space, large well equipped kitchen and extra large island, all opening out to the lanai, meant never feeling cramped in this one bedroom condo. Two baths with spacious showers meant never having to share which we loved. This unit was in a building nearest the beach, with everything you need to tow your owner provided beach kit out to the elevator at your doorstep and make the short stroll to the beach. Sunsets from Kihei were unobstructed, stunning and well appreciated by the drive in theater like crowd that gathers. We were surprised at how quiet and undisturbed we were by the elevator proximity (Which turned out to be a plus) and by our neighbors above. Parking was close and secure and this location offers easy access to all the island has to offer. We drove south, far west and upcountry for treks and sights and food and various beaches. So easy! Same for airport access, super easy! Our host made checking In and out a breeze. Loved our vacation in paradise!
