Great location
This unit is a really good location. Right next to the pool and I love the ground floor patio. I’ve stayed in other units at this resort. I liked this location of this unit best, but liked the cleanliness of some other units more.
The only downsides of this unit are fixable problems. There were lots of fruit flies and we killed 3 cockroaches. The couch could use a steam clean too.
But again, overall good. Loved the well stocked beach supplies and I found left over aloe and laundry detergent.

A great vacation condo
We really enjoyed this condo. My family loved the location, it was especially nice being ground level with easy access to the beach, bbq and pool. The condo was very clean and had most everything we needed. The only complaints we had was the pull out bed was uncomfortable -you could feel the springs. Also maybe a few more dishes would be nice. Otherwise we were all very happy with our stay and appreciated our hosts flexibility with our canceled flight and being able to extend our stay.

This was our second time staying in this condo unit and about our tenth time at the Kamaole Sands complex. The grounds and location are unmatched and the condo was clean, quiet, comfortable and had everything we needed for a wonderful stay.

Another great stay in this unit. Love the updated floors and washer dryer. Also very nice newly updated showers. The unit was clean and well appointed as usual. Our favorite place to stay on Maui.

Easy check in and out. Good location for walk to the pool. Given a ground floor unit there are no idyllic sunset views but we preferred the extra space off the deck of a ground unit. Unit had lots of cooking utensils, pots and pans, etc but could have benefitted from another set of plates, bowls, cutlery. We just ran the dishwasher at half loads to maintain a clean supply (4 people). A big thank you to housekeeping and the property manager/owner for allowing partial bottles of condiments and spices to be left behind. Many units throw them out at a given guest's departure when they are fine for the next guest to use. Also appreciative of the toys, beach supplies, and ample supply of dishwasher soap, laundry soap, garbage bags.
Overall facilities great yet the pool and family (kids) hot tub could be warmer. I found that kids would get a bit cold in the pool then go to the family hot tub (intentionally at a lower temp for safety) to use as a pool as it was more of a warm pool temp versus a cooler hot tub. Adult hot tub (reg temp) was perfect however. Finally, for this price point I would suggest that calls to the Mainland (incl Canada) are included in the landline.
Overall a good unit owned by a good owner that doesn't cut corners managed professionally by PMI. Definitely would stay in this unit and at Kamaoele Sands again.

Beautiful, updated, quiet condo in the perfect location!
Our family of five spent 10 wonderful days here and had an amazing experience! We absolutely love the Kamaole Sands property and stay here each year. This was our first time renting this condo and we couldn’t be happier. It had everything you could need, a beautiful view, close proximity to the pool but the lanai was set back a bit making it nice and private. We will definitely stay here again. Condo was well equipped and perfectly clean. We always trust Matt with PMI Maui with our vacation rentals!

Well equipped, great location
We stayed in this condo for two weeks in April 2022, and found it to be a great size and very comfortable for two couples. It was a short walk across the Kamaole Sands lovely property to the Kamaole III beach. The location at the back of the condo complex meant that it was very quiet as we didn’t get the traffic noise from Kihei road at all.
The kitchen was very well equipped - probably the best equipped of any condo we have every stayed in, anywhere.
The first week we were there we spotted whales from our lanai, and every evening we enjoyed the spectacular Maui sunsets.

Beautiful, clean, and well equipped!
We loved our condo! Great location, walkable to multiple nice beaches, shops, and restaurants. Condo community was safe, clean, and beautiful. 1st floor location was ideal for us with smaller kids (did not want a loft or balcony), our lanai opened onto a grassy area where they could run and play and was just steps to the pool, which was secured with a safety gate and code. The unit itself was well maintained and had everything we needed. The hosts very thoughtfully set up the booster and pack and play for our toddler so we didn’t have to worry about that after our long flight. Tons of useful and practical amenities like a beach wagon, beach chairs, boogie boards, sand toys, and more. Kitchen had everything we needed. Washer and dryer were modern and awesome. Lots of ceiling fans and a/c units so we could choose to keep our rooms cool on sticky warm days or open the doors and windows for a lovely cross breeze. PMI was very responsive to every question! Can’t wait to stay again sometime at Kamaole Sands and with PMI!

Very nice ground floor location. Easy access from parking. We felt very comfortable and secure while staying there. Lanai is set back giving a secluded feeling, yet easy accessibility to pool and other families staying near by in other condos. Appliances all worked well. I will definitely contact PMI for my next visit. They are very helpful with all servicing needs.

Amazing family getaway
Check in was super easy and the condo was exactly as pictured. It was clean and well decorated. There was plenty of dishes and towels. The location was fantastic! So close to the pool area and just a short walk to the beach! There was plenty of beach gear available for use. The only thing I would suggest is more cleaning supplies! We would definitely stay here again!

It’s great
This is the second time we stayed in this unit. It’s a great location for kids as it’s on the ground floor. We have also stayed on the 4th floor and although the view is amazing, it’s less convenient. The unit was clean it was just missing a few things that we would have used daily. A metal flipper for the bbq and a broom. Will those 2 things stop us from staying next time?? AH NO! We will for sure be back :)

Excellent spacious rental. When we got there they had already had a crib set up for our baby and a high chair. The ground floor unit is the only way to go! Close to the pool and a two minute walk from the beach! Super nice and we had a wonderful time.

Love staying at Kamoale Sands - great location! The unit generally was well equipped with most household and kitchen items you would need. We were pleasantly surprised to find ac units in both bedrooms. Could use a new set of kitchen plates and better/sharper knives and definitely a new cooler bag. The rental agent PMI was very responsive to our requests. Really liked the convenience of the ground floor unit.

The Kamaole Sands did not disappoint! We found the property exactly as advertised. It was clean and was well stocked with everything you would need. The kitchen had everything we needed for staying in and cooking our own meals. The beds were comfortable and bathrooms clean and in excellent working condition. Overall A Great Stay!
We have stayed in many units at Kamaole Sand and what we loved most about this unit was being on the ground floor and the proximity to the pool. We have a one year old so this convenience made our trip really enjoyable. However, it’s worth mentioning this units lanai is tucked back and can feel a bit dark at times. If we were to stay on the ground floor again we would likely select a unit that has grass directly outside instead of the rock garden and stepping stones.
The kitchen was functional and adequately stocked. Suited all of our cooking needs.
The back bedroom was nicely set up and clean. The twin beds are old and could be updated as they are very hard and springy.
The front bedroom was very nicely updated and clean. The en-suite was also very spacious and comfortable. We couldn’t locate the bathtub plug for the en-suite to bathe our baby but used the other bathtub instead. The shower curtain could use a clean or replacing.
The main living area was clean and furniture was very comfortable and clean. As we do have a little one crawling we found the floor very scratchy and felt dirty all the time despite sweeping excessively. A smoother tile or carpet would be more comfortable for little ones but this isn’t a deal breaker.
Beach equipment was adequate, although boogie boards were pretty tired and even broken we enjoyed the brand new umbrellas, good beach chairs and sand toys for little ones.
PMI was absolutely great to deal with, very responsive and professional and made our stay very comfortable. They even offered a pack n play and booster seat for our son at no extra charge. We noticed the blender was broken early on in our trip and upon letting Matt know a brand new blender was delivered to us in a matter of hours.
Overall this unit was clean, comfortable and enjoyable. I would stay in another ground floor unit next time as the lanai location is important to me due to amount of time we spend in our unit but ov

Really enjoyed are stay at Kamaole Sands. Gardens and grounds were stunning!! Ground floor location was very convenient especially when heading to pool or BBQ area and for bring in groceries. Great location and nice apartment
This condo is in very good condition and has pretty much everything you need, including beach chair, sand toys, boogie boards, kid floaties and so on. There are plenty of beach towels and a mat for sitting on the beach. Wifi and cable worked well (but don't use it -- get outside!). The kitchen has newer appliances, including a nice quiet dishwasher (important for open layouts). Washer/dryer are new and worked great. There is a single AC unit which cools down the common areas well, but the bedrooms will be stuffy if its hot. Ceiling fans in all rooms help with this. The unit is far enough from the road to not hear any traffic.
This is a ground floor unit, so if you wanted a view of the ocean, you won't get it. However, in return you get a larger patio area and no steps to get in and out. You also get a backyard for your kids to play in while you sip a drink at the outside table. Again, a good lay out for kids, perhaps not as good for a couple who'd rather be higher up and a get an ocean view.
The grounds of the condo complex are well kept and nice, with grassy areas for the kids to play in, new Weber gas grills to use with picnic tables, a game room with foosball and table tennis, two hot tubs, a kids pool and a swimming pool. The area around the pool is well kept and surrounded by gardens and fountains, making it a nice spot to hang out. It's not like the nearby 5 star resorts but much a nicer spot than a plain old hotel pool. The beach across the street is a short walk away and really nice - there is a small park for kids too there. Mornings are best when the wind is calm, by afternoon the winds start to pick up and the waves may get a bit big for younger kids (for make for fun boogie boarding for older kids and adults). Not having to drive to the beach is great.
Grocery stores are a short drive away and you can walk to a few restaurants and ice cream shops. There a single reserved parking spot close to the front door. W

Wonderful stay
This was our first Airbnb/ VRBO type stay. We have always been hesitant to stay in accommodations that aren't hotels as I have very high standards when travelling. This unit is exactly as shown in photos. It was very clean and we had no issues whatsoever. Would definitely recommend and return for future stays in Maui.

Our family has been vacationing at Kamaole Sands since 2005. This is the first time we've made our arrangements through PMI and must say that they were great to work with. Our unit was clean and well stocked. The beds/mattresses were comfortable, the rest of the furniture in very good condition. We had no issues with pests. One of the ceiling fans did go out, but single call to Matt and PMI and Tonya and their maintenance person were out within a couple hours and it was fixed. Historically we've avoided dealing with third party management companies when booking our condo, but we would book again through PMI Maui.

Easy Breezy, R&R
We enjoyed our time in this unit. We have a 2 yr old so it was nice to be far away from the road & the pool was right there. Lots of great pool & beach stuff for kids & adults supplied! With being on the ground floor & having a 2 yr old, the screen door was not in great condition or able to lock anymore so he could escape easily unless glass door was closed which means we had to put on A/C which we don't like. But other than that, all great.

The Perfect Vacation
This was our first trip as a family on Maui, and we loved the unit we stayed in. It had everything needed PLUS!! The back closet was fully equipped with all you need for beach. The beach was so close, we never used the pool. Matt made check in and correspondence a breeze. We would definitely cone back! Mahalo!

Not only was the condo conveniently located near the pool, it was a short walk to the beach. The rental also has endless amount of beach toys to use from boogie boards to beach chairs. Overall it was an amazing stay. We fell right at home.

Phenomenal trip to Maui!
We loved our stay at Kamaole Sands during spring break 2017. The property's location could not be better for families with Kam 3 beach located right across the street. Kam 3 is the perfect spot for world class sunset viewing as well as boogie boarding ,suntanning and turtle spotting !
The ground level unit was clean , well stocked and perfect for our family with a big screen tv as well as washer dryer.We loved using the boogie boards , beach chairs and umbrella on our many adventures.
I would not hesitate to recommend Kamaole Sands to any family . We can't wait to return .
The ground level unit was clean , well stocked and perfect for our family with a big screen tv as well as washer dryer.We loved using the boogie boards , beach chairs and umbrella on our many adventures.

Excelent condo and location to enjoy Maui!
The condo met all of the expectations we have. We definitely enjoy our stay there and would return without a doubt.
