Here Are Our 3 Favorite Spots for Shopping on Maui

The Shops at Wailea

The Shops at Wailea offer a high-end shopping experience. Enjoy an upscale afternoon at 70 luxury stores and boutiques, including Banana Republic, Billabong, Cos Bar, GAP, Lululemon, Rip Curl, Quicksilver, Tiffany & Co, Swarovski, Bottega Veneta, Louis Vuitton, Prada, and more. After you shop, sit down for lunch at one of the many on-site restaurants! We recommend the Cheeseburger Grille and Tap Room, which serves an amazing Kalua pork sandwich. For dessert, head to Honolulu Coffee for a foamy cappuccino.

Maui Mall

If you’re looking for more affordable options, the Maui Mall is ideal. You’ll find Whole Foods Market, the Maui Country Store, TJ Maxx, YNVU Clothing Company, Maui Creations, Crystal Dreams, and local boutiques with unique items. The best part about this shopping destination is its variety of restaurants. No matter what you’re in the mood for, you’re sure to find it here! Choose between the delicious smoothies of Hau Lani Cafe, incredible seafood at Da Shrimp Hale, fresh sushi at Genki Sushi, and local specialties at Kahului Ale House. There are also popular chain restaurants like Subway, Wendy’s, Pizza Hut, and IHOP.

Whalers Village

Whalers Village is similar to the malls you’re used to on the mainland. You can find famous brands like Alex and Ani, Billabong, Lily Pullitzer, Louis Vuitton, Lululemon, Malibu Shirts, Oakley, Pandora, Rip Curl, Sephora, and Volcom. Restaurants and coffee shops are also available.

SOUVENIRS FROM MAUI YOU’LL WANT TO BRING HOME

Macadamia Nuts and Flavored Cookies

Maui’s macadamia nuts are absolutely irresistible and much lighter than a pineapple (another Maui staple). You can either bring a bag of nuts home or choose macadamia–flavored cookies! The Honolulu Cookie Company has delicious macadamia shortbread you won’t be able to resist. Don’t hesitate to browse their other flavors while you’re there. Do you want to know the best part? You can order them online when you run out!

Vodka

Do you know Maui has its own vodka distillery? Hawaii Sea Spirit is a great daytime activity. There, you can tour the distillery, taste the liquors, and, of course, buy a bottle to bring home with you. This can make for a fun happy hour with your friends back home— you can tell them all about your vacation!

Lavender Products

Not only does Maui have a distillery, but it also has its very own lavender farm. Aliikula Lavender offer tours of their property starting at $3 per person. There’s also a shop filled with little goodies. Browse through a variety of soaps, bath products, aromatherapy products, culinary accessories, and apparel items. It never hurts to indulge in a little retail therapy!

A Ukulele

It’s the perfect gift for a musician or a child wanting to learn to play an instrument. Ukuleles are a Hawaiian staple—and they’re so much fun to play! Did you know that Maui has its own Ukulele festival? We couldn’t recommend it more, and you can find several ukulele shops there.

Coffee

Coffee is a great way to travel back to Maui every morning before work. Sip on a hot cup while reminiscing about your fabulous adventure. We recommend stopping by Maui Grown Coffee Company Store and picking up a bag of freshly-ground beans.
